The
mission to animate the 35th Brazilian Day
in Manhattan was by Simone & Simaria,
Jorge & Mateus, Jefferson Morais and Alok. The
day for the Brazilian community in New York is
promoted by Globo International and took place on
Sunday, (01.09).
Simone
and Simaria took the stage and made their debut at
the biggest party for Brazilians abroad. More than
two million people occupied New York's 6th Avenue.
According to the advisory of the pair, more than
80 caravans came from different cities of the
United States.
The
festival started with a small group of Brazilians
who wanted to celebrate Independence Day. Since
then, it has become traditional in New York, and
is now considered Manhattan's largest ethnic event,
attracting a multicultural audience, representing
the various socio-economic and cultural strata
from all over the United States.
